COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS
Coach Mack's Corner
The Mack Family Foundation partners with inner-city
elementary schools to install state-of-the-art reading
rooms. The Foundation renovates unused classroom or space within the school and
turns in into a reading oasis, complete with extensive shelving,
comfortable seating, exciting wall
graphics, subscriptions to children’s
magazines and more than 600 age-appropriate books at the students’ disposal. This space
draws children’s
interests far more than an ordinary library in hopes to foster a love of
reading. To view photos, click here.
Mack Back to School
The Back to School Program is held with the purpose of ensuring elementary school students living in financially disadvantaged homes have the items they need to go back to school - ultimately providing the students more self-confidence and a desire to go to school.
Coach Mack's Food For Thought
FOOD FOR THOUGHT is a food security program created to
directly impact inner-city elementary school students. Throughout each
year, the Food for Thought program plans to distribute 45,000 meals to students
in need through food pantries located in schools and a meal distribution day to
provide ample food over summer break when students are most food insecure.
